When there is no more room in Hell, the dead shall walk Brighton.
Not suitable for the living.
Brighton's infamous Zombie Walk returns for the fifth year.
'With their arms outstretched, their clothes soaked with blood and various body parts hanging off…' The Argus.
Voted as The Argus' top event to attend at Halloween, Beach of the Dead IV - The Brighton Zombie Walk returns for its Forth and biggest year yet.
Brighton Town is famous for it's stunning heritage, Royal Pavilion, Regency architecture and Victorian aquariums to the traditional seaside fun of the famous Brighton Pier and pebble beach…This is no more. Brighton you once knew no longer exists.
The undead count is up, fashion is no longer hip, and universities are empty.
The undead count has risen in numbers. The affected beings are said to be doubling every day. With the Government doing all they can to control this matter, fears for Brighton are growing once again.
This year could prove even bloodier than last. Fears are rife that this could lead to the largest zombie outbreak in recorded history, the potential ramifications of which extend as far as the end of civilization as we know it!
Come be part of the infamous zombie walk!
Now, the rules:
Participants are asked not to enter any shops in role! If you feel the need to do a spot of shopping, please come out of character. You can always catch up to the walk later on.
Don't touch anyone! Avoid little children if possible (they don't know it's fake).
If the police stop you, be courteous and polite.
If anyone becomes aggressive towards you, do everything you can to simply walk away and avoid confrontation
Do not do anything illegal.- dressing up in a costume is not an excuse.
Zombies still pay attention to traffic laws - Red man stop, green man go!
Every year, these rules are generally well stuck to, and we'd like to repeat the fun that was had by all, including spectators.
We don't have a budget like George Romero so please respect Brighton!
At a normal human walking speed, this walk would probably take around an hour, however be prepared for this to take longer. Zombies are not the fastest movers in the world! We would recommend wearing footwear as comfortable as your costume will allow. This walk will take up to two hours, depending on how rotten your limbs are!
Please leave your attitude with the living!
**Concorde2: Official Beach Of The Dead after party: After last year's road block event, Concorde2 will be playing host once more to Beach Of The Dead V - The Brighton Zombie Walk 2011 and presenting our after party.**
