Bersted Residents Can have their SAY

Residents of Bersted are invited to a meeting to have their say on how the area moves forward in the future.

The meeting will be held on the 24th January at the Jubilee Community Centre, Westloats Lane and will be part of the first stage in public consulation to discover what residents really want for their communities.

Bersted Parish Council is organising the meeting to enable people to comment about the location of future development.

They will be shown the initial draft of the plan put together by councillors and committed residents.

Cllr Martin  Lury is quoted as saying

"The plan is about preserving what we want to preserve and building taking place where we want it to.

"The plan will evolve as the community has its say."

The plans form part of the government's new much discussed planning system revisions that allow local people to have their say about develoipments that might effect them.
