Bognor Police seek hit and run lamp-post offender

Police are seeking the driver of a car which drove off after colliding with a central reservation area on a road near Bognor. The incident happened on the A259 Flansham Lane in Flansham near Bognor Regis at around 8.50am on Friday 30 September when a small red or maroon coloured car collided with a central reservation area, knocking down a bollard and an electricity pole. The bonnet of the car was dented but it did not stop at the scene. A Sussex Police spokesman said; "We would like to speak with any witnesses who may have seen this collision, in particular, any passengers on a Stagecoach bus which was apparently at a stop very close to the scene at the time of the collision. We would also very much like the driver of the red car to make contact with us. If you can help please call 0845 60 70 999 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 0354 of 30 September."
