Bognor Regis makes it mark on the national news yet again with the story of local man Kevin Flynn who was charged today for making phone calls claiming bombs had been planted at two of the UK's major international airports.
Flynn, 31, of Wellington Road, has been charged with making a phone call to police on July 31 falsely stating a bomb was being taken on board a New York-bound aircraft at either Heathrow or Gatwick. Clearly some attention deficit issues might have been the cause for this irresponsible act of fear mongering.
He has also been charged with a separate offence of assault by battery on 32-year old Bognor woman on July 20.
The charges follow an investigation by West Sussex-based police officers.
Flynn will appear at Worthing Magistrates Court tomorrow (August 31).
