A map of the 22 acre Green Flag park has been produced and printed with the locations of 16 'control points' for a new childrens orienteering course in the park at Hotham.

Young people across Arun are being offered a new way to stretch their legs and minds with the launch of the facility.

Felpham and Bognor Schools Locality Group which represents the 16 primary and secondary schools in town helped put the map in an effort to improve community services in the area.

Councillor Paul Dendle, Arun's Cabinet Member for the Environment, said: "We want to encourage as many people as possible to explore this beautiful area and get fit at the same. Orienteering is a fun way to exercise both your leg power and your brain power.

"It's a perfect activity for children, who can run around in a fun, safe, controlled environment but also excellent for adults wanting to shape up, try something new and meet new friends."

HothamParkmanager Michael Rowland, added: "I'm delighted that we have been able to work with the FAB group to launch this permanent orienteering course at Hotham Park".

Maps will be available from the Felpham Leisure Centre and the concessions operating in Hotham Park.

Go and have a go and let us know how you find the course, assuming you don't get lost of course.
