Bognor Crime Map

The new crime map available on the Internet from Uk police is causing quite a stir nationally with up to 5 million hits in its first day of operation crashing the site amid complaints from some Sussex residents in Lewes and Haywards Heath of inaccurate reporting.  

We've been looking over some of the data in the last few days for Bognor Regis which shows Anti-social behaviour (ASB) figures particularly in the town centre hotspots and south bersted areas to be on the increase with 172 incidents reported.  Violent crime appears to be evenly spread across the town with the exception of one cluster of 13 reported incidents in the Kingsmead, Felpham area.  

Areas such as Pagham appear to be relatively crime free reporting 6 Burglaries and only 4 incidents of ASB.  Similarly in Felpham without the Kingsmead anomaly (which has 27 reported incidents alone! ) there are a small spattering of crimes across the village including vehicle and burglary crime.

Aldwick reports 40 individual crimes whilst areas such as West Meads escape realtively crime-free.   Take a look for yourself  click here.
