Bognor's summer seafront illuminations are set to benefit a Garden Fete.

Held in the garden of 'Chestnut' in Ellasdale Road off Victoria Drive since 1998 courtesy of Sue and Derek Trotman, the annual Garden Fete has become a firm favourite with the many visitors each year and is a highlight of the all-volunteer lighting team's annual calendar of fund-raising events.

With a family day ticket to Butlins and many other quality prizes on offer in the Grand Raffle, the afternoon will feature all the ingredients you would expect to find including plant, cake and produce stalls, tombola, cream teas, white elephant and games.

Morrisons has donated scones for the Cream Teas, with many other businesses donating goods for the stalls. The event is from 2pm to 5pm. Bognor's Deputy Town Mayor Councillor Paul Wells is set to open the event and Nick Gibb MP will be drawing the winning raffle tickets at 4.15pm.

All proceeds from the event go towards running the coloured displays that brighten up the seafront from Hotham Park to West Park.
