Bognor Regis Hotels don't appear to be suffering from the economic downturn so far, with Butlins at Bognor Regis recently unveiling plans to cash in on a burgeoning home holiday market with the launch of a third hotel on the horizon. Of course Butlins isn't the only place to stay and with the holiday season fast approaching and some pretty big name events just around the corner, like the Festival of Speed, Goodwood racing, The ROX music festival and Bognor Birdman its worth taking a look at best places to stay if you're coming to enjoy the sunshine.

Bognor Regis Hotels: The Royal
One of Bognor Regis' most prominant landmarks is the 19th century grandeur of the Royal Norfolk Hotel. Located close to the seafront just before Bognor turns into Aldwick its in a prime spot with large grounds facing the sea. With 59 rooms all with en-suite facilities the hotel is thriving under new management and for locals of the town the new refurbished resturant is worth a look as well.If its home comforts you're after then look no further than the delightfully eclectic Navigator Hotel. Run by two of Bognor's happiest and likeable couples Thelma and Mike they'll make sure your stay is as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The downstairs restuarant with its wacky nautical overtures is an absolute favourite with locals and visitors alike.
A little out of town on the road to Fontwell and the Downs is Premier Inns hotel alongside the Robin Hood Inn. Well furnished and spacious rooms can be had at very reasonable rates although not in walking distance of many of the towns amenities.
Compare this to the Best Western's Beachcroft Hotel which is virtually on the beach !.........and with the pretty village of Felpham on its doorstep and a short walk along the promenade into the town may offer a more suitable location for those wanting close prpoximity to the centre. It has a good range of facilities including a pool and gym, function room and restuarant and offers decent rates in a great location.
On the subject of great locations, bang opposite the pier is the stately grandeur of the Royal Hotel. It's probably seen better days but it still holds the air of a cherished old friend and is a visual reminder of the heyday our town once experienced during its royal patronage. Rates are reasonable and its a great base from which to explore the rest of the town.
On a more low key note the Aldwick Hotel brings relaxed comfort and pleasure to its visitors with its simple and refined taste in decor and hospitatilty. Still only a few minutes walk from the beach and with its own immaculately landscaped grounds this hotel offers a 30 seater restuarant and tidy comfortable rooms.
There are of course many other hotels in and around the area which will form the basis for future reviews on the site but hopefully this provides a flvor of what's available. If you're a hotel proprietor in the area why not post and let us know all about your hotel's facilities ?
