Shopping in Bognor Regis Town Centre.

Whenever I visit Bognor Regis, I always seem to go to Butlins, Hotham Park or the Seafront as a visitor, so today I decided I would go to the Town Centre and check out the shops as I have never been shopping there before. My Husband and I had a walk round the town and we were pleasantly surprised.

Polkadot Stripes Gifts
We came across the old Cinema, very nostalgic and old fashioned. Despite having only two screens it's still showing the latest films and I'm glad it hasn't morphed into a Crown Bingo or a block of trendy flats. My hubby took some Photos of the old Reynolds building,Train Station and the Picturedrome Cinema and they all looked very retro. The precinct was busy with people bustling along and the cafes were full of shoppers having a break and a warm coffee. There were lots of the usual high street shops like Burton, New look and Boots and that's good in itself, but I have to say, personally, I enjoyed looking in the shops that sell gifts and knick-knacks.
There were plenty of them and one I was particularly impressed with was called Polkadot Stripes. It stood out with its bright blue exterior and and looked really interesting from the outside so I just had to go in and have a browse. The shop was big inside and had lots of great gifts for sale . There were all sorts of collectables from Betty Boop figures and Only Fools & Horses to Meerkats and my favourite thing of all - VW models and accessories.
They sell plenty of gifts that would make great Christmas presents with really nice quality photo frames, jewellery and purses, wallets and leather goods. You can visit their website HERE. The Manager told me they had recently moved premises and have been in the precinct for 6 weeks now so if you had wondered where they had gone, now you know.
My hubby and I then walked through an Arcade of small shops and came out opposite a market which was small but had some great craft stalls. I had a laugh trying on a few hats on the hats stall.
We had a hotdog on the seafront then slowly walked back to the car. The drive out of town was a bit of a trial, as some of the roads need repairing quite badly and were bumpy and in a dreadful state. There were lots of road closures, roadwork's and temporary traffic lights too around the town. But please don't let that put you off, as the shopping centre is very good.
