This looks great. Great idea for Bognor which would surely impact on the surrounding area as a pistive regenrative step, hats off to whoever came up with this. let's hope the councils and its busy members get right behind it and support it with some of the Sainsbury's cash. I guess Kim you'll just have to give up sleeping in the future so you get to all of these meetings and show your support of these initiatives ! :-)
I am on the Town Council, Kim Davis Orchard ward. I got home from a week away at work, where I did a 100 hour week, on Monday evening and went to two meetings. The Town Council followed by a meeting with a new community volunteer group I have been very involved in setting up. I then had a busy day all day Tuesday with the paperwork related to this venture and was simply exhausted by the evening. I had intended to come along and I was sorry to have missed it. I heard all about it the following evening when I was at the Greener Bognor Network meeting because several of the members of this group had attended and it all sounds great. What is really encouraging is that we are such a vibrant community really I only seem to be able to attend about 10 per cent of the event I hear about and really that says a lot about what a great place Bognor is full of enthusiastic and committed people. I spoke to Paul Wells who tells me you guys are invited to present at the Council. I know we should have been there but I do get the impression that we all have similar problems on the council with regards to getting ourselves too busy even to reply to invites. I am guilty of that and I do most sincerely apologise. Well done you guys though. It all sounds great. Kim Davis
Council goes missing !! I hear there was an embarrassing lack of presence at last nights meeting from either Arun or Bognor Town Council despite the organisers repeated efforts to let them know. E-mails ignored and not responded to etc. No excuse for Bognor Town Councillors or Arun representatives to willfully ignore initiatives like this and expect to get away with it. The people of Bognor are rightfully ashamed of the way we are represented at local government level. What were Jim Brooks, Paul Wells, Norman Dingemans, Anthony Everitt and a whole raft of others doing last night that was more important than showing support of grass roots regeneration such as the brilliant Su Cloud was proposing ? Get a grip Arun and BRTC, otherwise we'll stop voting for you.
