If you're interested in developments afoot to regenerate Bognor Regis there is lots of helpful information in this week's Bognor Obsever January 26th:

Cllr Oppler "we need a high end retailer" - meeting last week at ADC. Also St Modwen proposals for Hothamton car park: foodstore, student housing and residential development. Article by Kevin Smith, "A vote to enable the surplus from the redevelopment of the Hothamton and Regis Centre sites to be reinvested to improve the Regis Centre won overwhelming support".

Suggestions wanted to make best use of the donation to the town from Sainsbury's.
Meeting 6.30pm Monday 30 January, Methodist Church Hall at Waterloo Square.
Article by Kevin Smith "The Regeneration Board has been criticised for meeting in private". "Anyone who would like some of the money but is unable to attend should email Mr McMann at richard@successbythesea.com with their ideas".
I personally feel that people with ideas or something to say should email Richard McMann in advance of the meeting even if they don't want any money. Individual passion and passion from groups in the town is sometimes all that is needed. Sometimes they are actually held back* by bureaucratic/political/cultural structures and lack of effective communication with ADC. Hopefully this meeting is a genuine attempt to build on this passion. *But thank you to ADC where support and help for community projects is given.
